On the three photos below, footers are carefully lined up and bolted into the roofs after the old roof has been stripped clean.  After that, the flashings are set.  The roofer then seals the footers making the solar roof connections an integral part of his new roof.  The solar flashing shrouded standoff is viewed just like any other flashed roof vent and is fully covered by the roof warranty.  Click on photos below to enlarge.
